Expanded Carrier Screening
New U Women’s Clinic & Aesthetics offers Expanded Carrier Screenings. These Carrier Screenings identify couples who are at elevated risk of passing inherited conditions to their children.
Strict disease inclusion criteria are used to select conditions that are serious, clinically actionable, and prevalent. There are over 175 serious inherited conditions that are included in our Expanded Carrier Screenings.
Men and women who are planning to start a family should be tested. Patients should ideally be screened before or during pregnancy. The sample consists of 4 mL of blood or saliva sample.
Genesight Psychotropic
New U Women’s Clinic and Aesthetics offers a test called GeneSight. This genetic test is for patients who have ever been diagnosed with depression and failed at least one medication.
